What we collect
When you use the contact form or email us: your name, organisation, email address, optional phone number, role and message.
Why
To answer your enquiry and prepare a proposal you asked for (steps prior to a contract, and our legitimate interest in replying to business enquiries).
Who processes it
Our website host (Vercel), our email delivery provider and Google Workspace, which we use for email. Some providers may process data outside the EU under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We do not sell your data or share it for marketing.
How long
As long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting business relationship, and no longer than 24 months after our last contact unless a contract requires otherwise.
Analytics and cookies
We use cookieless Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated visit statistics. If you accept cookies, we also use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd) to understand how the site is used: it collects, for example, the pages viewed, device and browser details and approximate location, and its cookies (_ga) last up to 13 months. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses, and the data is not used for advertising. Google Analytics is not loaded before you consent, and you can withdraw consent at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the page. Google may process data outside the EU under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by emailing jani@avans.tech. You can also lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
